About Us
At Roar Trails, we believe in the power of the outdoors to transform lives.
For over seven years, we have successfully delivered outdoor-based alternative provision through our original platform, ROAR Outdoor.
Our journey began with a mission to support young people who were struggling to thrive in conventional educational settings. Whether due to exclusion, special educational needs, or challenges with engagement, we provided a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment rooted in nature & the outdoors.
Our programs have helped hundreds of learners rediscover their confidence, build resilience, and achieve meaningful progress — both emotionally and towards their EHCP targets. From woodland bushcraft to paddle sports, from mindfulness to employability, our hands-on, experiential approach has proven to be a powerful catalyst for change.
Today, we are proud to announce a new chapter: the evolution of our provision into Roar Trails, a standalone alternative education organisation. This transition reflects our growth, impact, and ambition. As we continue the road to becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC), our focus remains clear — to serve the diverse needs of learners with inclusion, passion, and purpose. Roar Trails is not just a name change — it’s a deepening of our commitment to being a trusted partner to schools, families, and local authorities, offering consistent, meaningful, and accredited outdoor learning pathways for children and young people of all ages.
